Be my valentine

As a rule Gabe and I don't really celebrate silly corporate holidays, but over the past year I've found a soft spot in my heart for Valentine's Day. The pink and red, whimsy, romance, chocolate, and wine have all gotten to me. We still make it a point to not really spend money, but a homemade valentine card, romantic dinner, and adoring dreamy prints like these (by Samantha Hahn) never hurt anyone.

As a rule we ONLY celebrate holidays founded on corporate greed ;) What would there be left it we didn't, President's Day? No fun.

But at least they tried with other holidays. Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July are centered around religious or historical events and although we are taught we need to spend a lot of money on gifts, etc, Valentine's Day is only about showing the one you love how much you love them with chocolates, flowers, candy, oh my!
